Headteacher's Newsletter

14 February 2020

It feels like this half term has flown by and we are now at the half term break. Students have been working hard and it has been very busy around school.

Last night we had our Year 11 Revision Evening where we had a fantastic turnout with a packed out Theatre. Students received revision packs and parents were given advice about how they can support their children in their studies at home. After-school revision sessions will begin after half term, the timetable will be added to the website once finalised.

Following on from the success of the Y5 transition morning at the end of January, we are looking forward to welcoming Y4 students to North Gosforth Academy on Wednesday 26th February for a morning of STEM activities. I will update you with how they got on in my next newsletter.

I’d also like to remind Year 9 parents that it is Parent’s Evening on Thursday 5th March 5-7.30pm, you will be receiving a letter with details very soon. We hope that many of you can attend.

I am sure you will remember from last term our Enhancement Group of budding journalists who produced the first ever edition of ‘NGA News’. I am delighted to pass over now to their final edition to close the half term. Look out next term for the next edition of 'NGA News' produced by the new Enhancement group, I am sure they will carry on the excellent work of Hannah, Madison, Amelia and Miguel!

I wish you all a great half term break and look forward to welcoming students back on Monday 24th February.

Warm regards

Steve Campbell
