We are delighted to announce that Gosforth Academy has been awarded the School Games Silver Award for the 2025/26 academic year.

The School Games Mark is a nationally recognised award, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust and supported by the government. It celebrates schools that are committed to developing opportunities for young people to participate in competitive sport, both within school and across the wider community.

This achievement reflects the dedication, enthusiasm and hard work of our students, staff and sports leaders, who have embraced a wide range of sporting opportunities throughout the year. From inter-house competitions and extracurricular clubs to representing the school in local and regional events, our school community has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to sport and physical activity.

We are incredibly proud to have our efforts recognised through this prestigious award. The Silver Award highlights the positive sporting culture at Gosforth Academy and our ongoing commitment to encouraging participation, teamwork, leadership and healthy lifestyles.
