Through our assembly, talks and visits programme we seek to enable students to proactively develop an understanding of those areas of life and work of interest to them.

As well as providing school updates, our fortnightly assembly for each year group provides an opportunity for students to hear external speakers from the world of work, tertiary education and the third sector.

We also invite external specialists to give lunchtime talks to enrich students’ subject-specific understanding and give insight into future careers. In addition to this there are many opportunities to further enhance subject knowledge and explore individual interests through trips and visits. Such extra-curricular activities also serve to further boost students’ future success within their UCAS, CVs or Apprenticeship applications.
