Following an uncertain six months for our Year 11 students it was a pleasure to issue them with record results yesterday which had integrity and robustness at their heart and were no less than what this group of students deserved. We were absolutely delighted with our best ever results and students should rightly be proud of their success too. It was great to have students physically back on site allowing us to see each student in person and giving students and staff at least some time to celebrate before September.
This particular year group deserve special praise not only for their results, which beat all previous headline measures, but also for their impeccable behaviour, hard work in the classroom and general positive contribution to wider school life-this is equally important to us at Gosforth Academy and this group of students have certainly acted as role models for our younger students in every respect. They have been a pleasure to work with and we are very proud of them.
We look forward to welcoming many of them back to our Sixth Form in September. Until then, we hope you all enjoy the rest of the summer.
