The sports teams at Gosforth Academy have lots to celebrate this month.
Success for KS3 badminton players!
Year 9 students took part in the KS3 Your School Games badminton competition last week at Tyneside Badminton Centre. This is a competition Gosforth Academy enters every year and historically, have had a lot of success in. All students involved were brilliant, with the boys’ team winning the competition, beating Jesmond Park Academy in the final, whilst the girls' team also made the final, but lost out narrowly to Newcastle High School for Girls. We look forward to more competitions throughout the year!
Year 10 footballers maintain unbeaten start to the season!
There was another great win for the Year 10 boy’s football team last week, as they came out 5-1 winners against Cramlington Learning Village. This ensured that they maintained their unbeaten start to the season and progressed into the next round of the County Cup. The team played brilliantly the whole game and they should be very proud of the start they have made! Next up, the lads have a City Cup tie against St. Mary's.
