Olivia Miller, aged 16 years old, is a strong and dedicated cricket all-rounder, based at her local Club South Northumberland CC, where she started playing cricket as a 10 year old.

Last month she was selected for the Northern Diamonds Academy squad, one of the 8 regional cricket academies in the country and based at Headingley, Leeds.

Olivia is the only player in this year's intake from Northumberland and joins the 15-player squad who are aged between 15 and 20. Here she will continue her cricketing development with twice weekly training sessions in either Leeds or the Riverside stadium, Durham.

The players will play matches against the other 7 academies in the country and look to build on the success of the Northern Diamonds senior team who won the Rachel Heyhoe-Flint trophy at Lords in September.
