We are aware that our GCSE students and parents would have been following the media closely with regard to all the changes to do with A level results and wondering how this might affect them. Please accept my apologies for not getting something out sooner but with so many changes since last Thursday everything I wrote became redundant just hours later. Only last night did exam boards notify schools about what information they were sending out to us ready for results day; at one point we thought it might be nothing until next week! We can now confirm at GCSE you will be awarded one grade for each subject-this will be the highest of your centre assessed grade and your exam board calculated grade. Vocational qualifications are a bit more complicated-we are expecting some results to be in tomorrow and others to be delayed.
As per the letter you received towards the end of last term we have had to stagger arrival times tomorrow. A reminder that these are:
9am (surnames A-G)
9:30am (surnames H-M)
10am (surnames N-Z).
For Covid-19 safety please remember no parents are allowed on site and students are asked to leave site quickly after collecting results following the one way system. Students who do not arrive during their half hour slot may have a delay in receiving their results.
Sixth Form enrolment on Friday will be the time to get advice and guidance around Post 16 courses.
Once again, we are really looking forward to seeing you tomorrow.
Mr Chahal
Principal
