The DfE updated their guidance, on Friday evening, regarding in-school provision for the children of critical workers. ('Parents whose work is critical to the coronavirus (Covid-19) and EU transition response include those who work in health and social care and in other key sectors', DfE). The DfE guidance now clearly states that 'Parents and carers who are critical workers should keep their children at home if they can' i.e where there is no safe alternative. There is no specialist provision in school, it is supervision only.
We are working with families of vulnerable students to ensure they get the provision they need.
Given the current national situation it is vital that we do as much as possible to control the transmission of the virus and follow the government advice to keep everyone as safe as possible.
