Post-16 Tutor (non-teaching)

Contract type: Permanent Full time, term time only (37 hours per week)
Salary: Scale N6 £25,295 - £27,905 pro rata

The Gosforth Group is a multi-academy trust currently consisting of four schools (Gosforth Academy, Gosforth Junior High Academy, North Gosforth Academy and Jesmond Park Academy). In 2021 two new schools will open – Gosforth Great Park Academy [y5 to 11] and Callerton Academy [y7 to 11].
Gosforth Academy is a successful school, which was rated ‘outstanding’ in its most recent Ofsted inspection.
This is an exciting post which involves having tutorial/mentoring responsibilities for Post 16 Students. You will monitor attendance and progress, support students in their UCAS application and help them to succeed. You will also support the work of the Post 16 Management Team.
The successful candidate will clearly demonstrate an interest in young people and feel empathy with their needs and concerns.
