Our Year 12 Gosforth Academy students recently visited Cambridge University, staying overnight at Jesus College. The students were provided with an overview of the admissions, application and interview process. They could attend computer science, humanities, and physics lectures.
The students toured several colleges, with the university emphasising Cambridge University's accessibility to all students who have the passion and drive to realise their full potential, no matter their background.
By coincidence, staff came across former Gosforth Academy student Lyra Christie, who is in her third year studying Classics. Lyra said, “It’s hard work but immensely rewarding.”
The visit encouraged students to pursue Cambridge University's rich history, academic excellence, and vibrant community life.
