Sixth Formers visit Cambridge University

Cambridge University Open Day, 6th July 2024.

A group of 14 Sixth Form students and two staff members, Mrs. Blackburn and Mr. Russell, travelled to Cambridge the day before the university's open day. Everyone enjoyed a stay in the college rooms at Jesus College, our partner school for outreach work. Meals were provided, and the students had a talk on the Cambridge application process.

Arriving at Cambridge University's Open Day, our students were able to visit any of the colleges and departments they were interested in before heading back up the A1. Lea Mouille particularly enjoyed visiting the veterinary school, where there were practical activities involving real animals, including bandaging horses!

Our students are interested in a wide range of courses, including math, natural sciences, history, French, law, and human and political sciences.

Many thanks to Dr. Christopher Burlinson, who hosted the talk, and Rachel Chiodo, Jesus College's admissions coordinator, who organised our visit.
