About the Academy

 

Gosforth Academy is based in the heart of Gosforth on the outskirts of Newcastle upon Tyne.  The academy is easy accessible by car, bus and metro and has free onsite staff car parking.

The academy is a diverse and highly successful school with a superb record of academic excellence and achievement, providing secondary education from year 9 to 13. 

About the role

We are seeking a colleague who has a passion for making a difference to the learning experience of our students. You will be required to supervise classes during the absence of the class teacher and will be expected to work with and supervise small groups of students under the guidance of senior staff. You will support a variety of subjects across the school site. This will include supporting the work of the Pastoral Team, implementing work programmes, managing student behaviour and assisting students in relevant activities in line with the school’s and Multi Academy Trust’s policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a highly regulated environment or educational setting or have demonstrable transferrable experience.
