Gosforth Academy students have made over 622kgs of donations to their annual Newcastle Foodbank appeal.

Laura Willis, Newcastle Foodbank, said, ‘We are incredibly grateful for the continued support we receive from Gosforth Academy, which will help families across the city who are struggling to afford food and household essentials.’

Year 9 student, Chloe commented, ‘I feel it’s important for students to understand and support those who are vulnerable, especially at Christmas.'

All year groups and staff have come together to support this appeal, spreading hope and kindness where it is needed most.

Mr Snowdon, Deputy Principal, said ‘Their generosity will help provide essential items to vulnerable individuals and families during this festive season. We are proud of the students for the contributions made, which links with our theme of giving time to supporting others at Christmas.'
