Full time 37 hours per week, Term Time Only

Salary N6 (£24,279- £26,613 actual gross salary)

 

We are looking for someone with a passion for pastoral work to join our pastoral support staff team. The successful candidate will be a creative, ‘hands on’ colleague and the main contact for pastoral support to students in the Academy.  This includes implementing work programmes, managing student behaviour and assisting students in relevant activities in line with the academy’s policies and procedures. You will have experience of working with young people and ideally have experience of working within a school. You will support the pastoral system in the academy as well as work as part of the general cover team where you will be required to supervise classes during the absence of the class teacher. You will also be expected to work with and supervise small groups of students under the guidance of senior staff.

You will be required to take a lead role including managing the internal exclusion/isolation room, monitoring attendance and general support of pastoral systems and take a lead on the recording of behaviour data and make a significant contribution to the schools rewards systems.
